Children 7 Years and over are accommodated in the family home, eating home cooked meals with the family. At the beginning of each week the child is given a horse or pony to be their own for the week.

They learn to look after their horse and how to feed, groom , saddle and ride them (under supervision). There are riding lessons, games on horseback, trail rides and treasure hunts on horseback.

Also other activities are archery, bush walking, and in the summer swimming and canoeing in our creek. Not to forget the hay rides morning and afternoon.

Everything is supplied but please bring own towel, gumboots, rain proof jacket and sunscreen. We have a selection of riding hats. On the last day a mini gymkhana is held when the children put into use the skills they have learned during the week.

There are often tearful farewells as they leave their new friends. Many lasting friendships are made between the children and between them and their horses.
